The two most well-known female rappers,
Nicki Minaj and
Lil Kim are currently in a
battle of words. Nicki Minaj recently set the record for female rapper with the most singles on the Billboard Charts at once. Nicki's well known single, "Your Love" hit number one this summer, making her the first female rapper with a number one single since Lil Kim's "Jump Off" in 2003. Nicki Minaj's new album,
Pink Friday, called for Lil Kim's criticism, calling Nicki a 'wannabe.' Nicki Minaj responded with, "Lil Kim needs to get a life. Madonna does not criticize Lady Gaga for her beget." Nicki admits she looks up to Lil Kim, but there are other female rappers out there that she idols too. After hearing this story, I adore Taylor Swift even more. I know they are not all in the same genre of music but Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj could learn a thing or two from her. Taylor remains respectful, popular and successful, without having to refer to herself as
'the baddest bitch.'
lol i understand why you would choose Taylor i would to i dont think its cool or lady like to argue and refer to yourself as a bitch then get mad when men fo it. Kim and Nicki should come together and make money instead of going at each other.
