A Small Act

What can you do with Panasonic's HVX200, the same camera you get to use if you're taking courses in Tri-C's digital video/film making classes or its media arts and studies classes? Shoot an award winning documentary. A Small Act, by Jennifer Arnold, has won numerous awards. It was also an official selection at Sundance, an award in-and-of-itself.

The film chronicles the relationship between two strangers, Hilde Back and the rural Kenyan student she decided to sponsor, Chris Mburu, who, years later, is a Harvard graduate and human rights lawyer for the United Nations.

Those interested in seeing the film can do so on Saturday, November 20th, at 6:30 p.m., at Visible Voice Books, in Tremont, Ohio. The cost is $5 or $3 with a student I.D.

  1. Is Jennifer Arnold a tri-c student?

Also, you introduce the story only by saying it's a relationship between these two people. More is definitely needed.
