If you don't know Nicki Minaj aka The Barbie think of a hip hop Lady GaGa. Nicki Minaj is signed to one of hip hop's biggest labels Young Money/ Cash Money Records or short for YMCMB. YMCMB is home of the two of the most significantly known rappers in the game Drake and Lil Wayne as well as many other successful artist. Nicki has really taken over the female rap game because one there is not really any in the game and because she's unique and is lyrically a good rapper. Nicki Minaj highly anticipated album Pink Friday dropped yesterday November 22,2010. The gossip columns and hip hop news expect her album to go platinum or above meaning selling a million copies or more worldwide. But will Nicki Minaj top expectations? We won't know until at least a week from today. Nicki have been getting a lot of support and marketing for the album mostly because it's so highly anticipated. Yesterday on BET's 106 & park they turned the whole show into Pink Friday. The whole audience had on pink wigs and they even named the show 106 & pink for the debut of her album. Nicki performed two songs off the album Romans Revenge and Right Thru Me. Terrance a BET host interviewed her and got into her head a little about her lingo and style. They did two barbie makeovers for two audience member's. MAC cosmetic's also have a limited time special color lipstick called Pink Friday. Some critics have already gave their ratings and they are looking good. With all this promotion and support behind her will Nicki go platinum?
